- Sam Mayer qualified second for Saturday's Arizona Lottery 200. Mayer maintained second position through the halfway point of the race. The team pitted during the race break for four tires, fuel and a small trackbar adjustment. Mayer reported his Chevrolet was good on launch, but got a big snug towards the end of the run. Mayer fell to third early in the run, but climbed back up to second through a series of late-race cautions. Mayer fought for the lead on a restart with nine laps to go and made contact with another car, cutting his left rear tire and putting him in the outside wall, ending his day early.

"Unfortunate ending to our day, we cut a tire down going for the lead there at the end. Not the way we wanted to end our season, but we have a lot to be proud of this year. I can't thank this GMS team enough for everything they've done for me the last two years."
